PRE-RIDEF TOURISM ACTIVITIES

CITY AND COUNTRYSIDE TOUR

Rate: $85 CAD (same price for adults and children)

The ideal excursion to discover Quebec City and its surroundings! This tour will allow you to see both Quebec City and the magnificent Côte-de-Beaupré.

In the morning, you will discover the Plains of Abraham, the fortified city, the Château Frontenac and you can stroll through the narrow streets of Old Québec.  Lunch will be served in lunchboxes. This first part of the day lasts approximately two and a half hours.

In the afternoon, you will be able to observe the magnificent Montmorency Falls at a height of 83 meters, the highest waterfall in Eastern Canada. Afterwards, you will discover the Côte-de-Beaupré region. This five-hour tour will allow you to visit Île d’Orléans and the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica. Stops will be made at the Chocolaterie de l’île and at the Albert Gilles Copper Art Museum boutique.

The return to the Notre-Dame-de-Foy Campus is scheduled for around 6:00 p.m.  Dinner, which will be served there, is included.

Visit to the Wendake Indian Reserve

Adult rate: $150 CAD

Rate for children 12 years old and under: 100$ CAD

Wendake, formerly known as Huron Village, is an Amerindian reserve covering an area of 1.11 km2 located about 25 km from Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy. The history of this Aboriginal community, a culture that is still alive with objects imbued with a very tangible memory, is presented interactively by exploring the themes of territory, memory and knowledge. With its permanent and temporary exhibitions, cultural activities and guided tours, the Huron-Wendat Museum invites you on a true journey through time and history. 

Program for the day (duration approximately 8 hours): Visit of the museum, the longhouse (traditional construction of the Iroquoian people), the site, Amerindian meal and participation in a necklace making workshop.

Whale watching cruise in Baie-Sainte-Catherine

Adult rate: $170 CAD

Rate for children 12 years old and under: $115 CAD

Less than 3 hours from the Notre-Dame-de-Foy Campus, set out to meet the giants of the sea and opt for the unparalleled comfort and exceptional panoramic view of the AML Grand Fleuve, a comfortable boat specially designed to observe marine mammals!

When you arrive in Baie-Sainte-Catherine, a boxed lunch will be served and you can admire the magnificent St. Lawrence River. In the early afternoon, you’ll discover one of the most beautiful whale-watching sites in the world aboard the AML Grand Fleuve boat. For 3 hours, you will sail through the heart of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park to get up close and personal with marine mammals in an eco-responsible manner. You will be at the gateway to the majestic Saguenay Fjord.

On the way back, a stop will be made at Laiterie Charlevoix, a roadside rest stop located in Baie-Saint-Paul. This dairy is an economuseum and an interpretation centre where you can buy local products.

This package costs $170 / adult and $115 / child 12 years old and under and includes:

Please note that the evening meal will be at your expense, upon your arrival at the Notre-Dame-de-Foy Campus, around 7:30 pm.
