WHAT ARE THE WORKSHOPS?
At each Ridef, workshops are at the heart of cooperative learning. There is practical work, reflections and discussions. You can follow the same long workshop every morning and several short workshops in the afternoon.
WHAT IS A LONG WORKSHOP?
A long workshop is the same group working together, 3 hours a day, for six days. This gives time to delve deeper into a subject and experiment with new work techniques.
A long workshop must take into account the theme of the Ridef and be led according to the principles of Freinet pedagogy;
- Situations, scenarios and educational contexts that allow for real experiences: it is not just a place of listening, it is learning by doing and cooperating;
- Exchanges between all the participants;
- Reflections on the journey made by the group and possibilities of transfer to the class;
- Feedback on the skills used and on the functioning of the group.
At the end of the RIDEF, each long workshop will present the work done during these mornings.
WHAT IS A SHORT WORKSHOP?
A short workshop makes it possible to present the work in the class (photos, videos, etc.), to share ideas and experiences, to solve problems with people who face the same difficulties, to discuss our practices or to inspire them news, …
A short workshop is 90 minutes. It can be repeated if there is high demand or split into two 90-minute sessions if the content requires it.
Although spontaneous short workshops can be added on site, virtual pre-registrations are preferred.
